NAHB Recognizes Sterling Homes for Custom-built Modular Home in Wellesley, MA
BURLINGTON, Mass., Oct. 26, 2011 – Sterling Homes Development Corporation received a national home building accolade, capturing Honorable Mention in the 2012 Jerry Rouleau Awards for Excellence in Marketing and Home Design. Sterling Homes won Honorable Mention in the Modular Home 3,001-4,000 sq. ft category for a custom modular Victorian-style home that the company built in Wellesley, MA. The honor was awarded by the Building Systems Councils (BSC) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)—a trade association that represents the concrete, log, modular, and panelized building system industries.
For more than a decade, the awards program has promoted excellence in the systems-built housing industry. This year, the awards were renamed to honor Jerry Rouleau, a marketing authority and longtime advocate of the systems-built industry, who lost his battle with cancer earlier this year. Home manufacturers, builders and industry associates were among the groups recognized. Entries are judged by a panel of industry experts with criteria including overall design, buyer appeal, exterior treatments, and other amenities that encourage sales or improve aesthetics.
