This young family found the not-quite-perfect 1930's house in the perfect neighborhood in Marblehead, MA. After seeing the beautiful work and getting a glowing recommendation from a happy Sterling Homes client in Andover, MA, they tapped Russell Busa and the Sterling Homes team to bring their dream home to life.
BEFORE: The first task was to bring "grandma's kitchen" into the new millennium.
AFTER: White cabinetry, combined with a cherry island, state-of-the-art appliances, and a computer work area make this kitchen sleek and functional for a family of five.
BEFORE: The dining room was closed off and dated.
AFTER: We opened up the wall between the kitchen and dining room for an open flow and updated look.
And of course, the must-have mudroom for all of the family's day-to-day storage!
Moving on to the upstairs, the master bath was remodeled for a bright, spa-like feel with a double sink and this oversized shower.
In the attic space, reminiscent of "The Brady Bunch", we added a dormer and transformed the room into a large family room/office, with an adjacent bedroom and full bath. And did we mention that this renovation took place during Hurricane Sandy?! That added some excitement to the process, but we rose to the challenge and "hit it out of the park" according to the homeowner.
BEFORE: Brady Bunch attic
AFTER: Family room and office
It's hard to believe this is the same space!
According to the homeowners, "..we can distill our experience working with Russ Busa and Sterling Homes down to two words: Russ cares. Russ cares about respecting the budget he has provided. He cares about sticking to the schedule he has established. And, above all, Russ cares about the quality of the product Sterling Homes is delivering for his customers."
